Until I see the real PvE game play, it is still hard for me to take the new game category MMO/TCG that HEX claiming to have invented.  However, that does not stop other companies to expand the genre.  Well in fact, if this game really achieves what it tries to do, I am more convinced that this game is more MMORPG/TCG than HEX appears to be at this point in time.   Let’s take a quick look.

What excites me more than anything else when comes to dTCG update is the new mechanics.  It is just so fun to imagine and dream the potential of the game when new mechanics are introduced.  With so many cards that had already been revealed for Set.1, I did not expect much when comes to  new mechanics in this set despite they are still spoiling handful cards with each update.  Cryptozoic proved me that I was wrong.  Among the all things, the most exciting part of the recent patch for me is indeed this new concept of “replica”.

Faeria is not completely unique; however, it is relatively different from many others.  It got new patch, and supposedly significant enough to affect overall game play.  Remember this game is not microtransaction based i.e. you buy the game, and collect cards by progressing through the game.  The style of art in this game is quite different from some other dTCGs.  Personally, these arts remind me Miyazaki’s art style for some reason, and certainly that is a positive thing.
